Evening Gents,
Just wondered if I can run something past you. I've got a copy of a drill manual for the Enfield '53 and it states that when loading, after the powder
is poured, the cartridge will then be up-ended and placed into the muzzle so that what you've got is the bullet still in the paper with the rest of the
empty cartridge - now a paper tube sticking out of the muzzle. The excess paper was then ripped away thus leaving the bullet in the muzzle within a ring of
paper around it acting as a patch. This was then rammed.
What I wondered is if this was done with the earlier P'51s or if they were loaded with naked bullet?
Cheers in advance
Andrew
