Grant,
They were taken this morning. Weather is improving... Something I noticed when working the border. The weather doesn't get bad here until the Canadians start heading south in the fall. Then in the spring when they all go back North we get our good weather back...must be some sort of meaning there. |

Been trying to green things up on the range for you. Here's yesterdays effort.
Got 4 more inches this morning |

Good job, Douglas!
No snow at Medicine Hat at all from this latest system ..... lots has come down all around us, but none in this immediate area - (yet!)

Your balmy weather is apparently about to end, George!!!!
I understand that this whole system is tracking east, and will hit Ontario quite soon - the rain you are getting is likely the harbinger of much worse to come !!!

Methinks the system just arrived Grant ...Darn.....
Quite a change from yesterday.....but on a gun note....got a nice Mauser Mod 71/84. same era as Queen Victoria. Made up about 10 rounds for it and took it to the range, not a bad little bolt action rifle...Would it qualify for the playday?
Or would I have to sit at the other end of the range?

George,
For Montana in the Victorian Rifleman Provincial Match if you can show that Victorian troops, even troops in rebellion, carried the rifle you could shoot it. For Open shooting you very much can shoot it as it fits with in the scope of this board. Only the structured events have some restrictions in order to draw out specific rifles. I was a little surprised when looking in my book on Boer rifles that this rifle did not show up. It seems a natural.

Is there anybody coming to the shoot who will be passing through Madison, WI who might be able to stop and see Joel Black and pickup a light table for me?

Was out at the range this afternoon.
We currently have Targets up 25, 100 and 250 yards. We have gongs at 350 and 500. I plan on putting up a 500 yard target for the shoot. Anybody want a target at 350. Of course if the bulldozer gets done befor the shoot, those long taregets will be 100 further away. |

Would you know which way to turn if you saw this?

My guess is "turn right" ..... do I win anything?
(If I'm wrong, I'd say some sneaky agent provocateur has turned the spear the wrong way to confuse the invasion force .....

It was 92 degrees here this afternoon. So be sure and bring your short sleeve shirt and a heavy jacket in case it snows.
We are going to do a braai in my back yard after the shoot. Bring yourself a chair to sit on, if you have it a folding table. The Braai will be BYOM- bring your own meat and a potluck dish to share. |

We got a bit of the same stuff, Douglas.
Been very hot, then last three or four mornings it has been -2 to -6 C. Rain yesterday and last night, but we needed it! Is this the first snow of the fall, or the last one of winter? Might have to paint white gongs another colour..... |

So Douglas
That is where our snow has got to. Would you be so kind to give it directions home! Pinky
It is not a gun. It is not a Weapon. It is not a firearm. It is a single cylinder single stroke internal combustion engine with a free floating piston!
