Jason here's how its gonna work. Your gonna walk up to the firing line and I gonna look your rifle and say that rifle is okay or that rifle is not okay and then after that I'll say load...and we'll go shot.

About the only Martini's that might be turned away is a a 1215 or international. Even then I would probably let you shoot them if you brought them, but I'm not sure you would want to carry them out across the prairie.

The .310's will be allowed any Martini up to M-12 will be allowed. 300 Sherwoods allowed, There is some little 45's I think in the Snider that would. Lead bullets only.

Keep in mind this isn't a competition but a gathering of like minded individuals getting their old guns out of the closet to shoot as they were originally intended to be shot.

Other nearby towns are Shelby, 35 miles, Conrad 50 miles and Valier 25 miles. Valier may have some bed and breakfast but no motels.

I saw this link referenced in the American Rifleman Magazine today. Since some of you are flying to Montana to for our shoot so I thought I would post it here.

Traveling safely with Ammunition

This is a new notice to clarify the rules and it is suggested that it be printed out carried with you. Apparently in the past it was erroneously reported that ammo greater than 50 caliber could not be transported in checked bags. A review the regulation by DOT has resu;lted in this update.

Notice that no where does it say you can't transport blackpowder cartridges. Only loose powder (black or smokeless), primers and percussion caps are prohibited.

How much ammo should bring? All you can.

The scheduled shooting events will need the following.

Memorial volly- 3 rounds.

Victorian Rifleman Provincial Shoot 13 rounds for the slow fire and as many as you can shoot in 1 minute. I once shot 14 round out of the Martini in a Mad minute. So Optimistacally you need 27 rounds

Handgun 13 rounds

Rook and Rabbit. 20 rounds minimum. If you want to go through again 20 more rounds.

Zulu Defense Match. This is a new old fun Match that I have added. 10 rounds

Haley's Hop 6 rounds

Open shooting...as much as you need/want.

Other things you will need. There is no facilities on the range. We will have a porta potty for the Guys and the ladys will have acces to my travel trailer. Bring lawn chairs and folding tables, sunscreen, hat, water and snacks.

I am working the details for having a Pot-luck Braai BYOM after the shoot. We can do this in my backyard or at the City park. sorta depends on what the City charges and how many peopel there are. The grocery store has a deli where you can get pot luck items. We will pass out the VRSM and draw for the door prizes then. How does that sound?

That brings up a good point. Bring you video camera's and camera tripods. You do not want to miss getting the volley on video, they are incredible.
