Sounds fun. Maybe I will represent the Metis. I will have enough lead shot for the shotgun for part of the day and then load rocks/nails etc. towards the end
for an authentic reenactment. haha

Douglas,
Sarah's skinning knife is Always sharp,.....and she already has the saris!! Ryan, I'll look out some small scrap-iron as ammo for you! Jake, If you Could get it through customs, you could just leave it here, to avoid the hassle on your return trip... BTW, I've been so bogged Still, that I haven't got your for-end mended completely so will send of the lead on it's own. I do wish I could get up to date, so I could do some of this fun stuff! R. |

Or I could buy a replica canon for only $9500. Where does collecting stop and madness begin? What's the limit on my Visa?......
Or more importantly, will my neighbors turn me in to the police for firing off a canon on the 4th? Jake Richard - not to worry, I'll come collect it all next June. |

Inflation. I remember when you could get a reproduction Gatling for just $10,000. And it was just as impossible then as now--since the $10k for the gun and the
$10k for the diamond ring that would have to go with it aren't exactly pocket change.
Cheers, Michael
I've never heard anyone complain about "too much quality" in a gun, but too little will get you a trip to the ER with your spare fingers in a
baggie.

Ryan, Yes it'll be interesting as Branko says..........especially an old nail or two just long enough to go nearly cross-wise in the barrel!
Branko, Re. the targets, if most of the rebellion was spent shooting at what can't be seen,....we don't need targets.....we can mow the grass and trim willows. Man, we're about ready already! |

I will have to see what I can fit into the car. The Snider, 1894 Winchester, revolver, and a shotgun at least. Maybe the target .22 rifle for gophers.

Ryan brought up that the ISSO seems to be on it's way out, (On siege of Ladysmith thread)
I am sure this is more because stuff just gets in the way and takes our time up, rather than lack of interest, so here as well, I would like to announce that; At the 2009 Alberta shoot, provision will be made for any who wish, to shoot their ISSO targets! Pukka. |

Sounds good, maybe I can borrow that custom sporter for target use?

It won't turn up this year, because by the time of the shoot, I'll have a 3-week-old youngling and the wife will want me to stay close to home. But
perhaps next year.
Besides, Ryan, with my Snider loads, she shoots wicked high. By next year, I should have a proper load developed for her. Cheers, Michael

Congratulations Michael!!
#4?? Re. the snider shooting "wicked high" I found all mine shoot much higher with the Coyote dish-based bullet. With my bullets, it shoots on @ 100 yds. and a fraction low (about 4" I think it was) @ 200yds, with sights set on 200. Need a fatter bullet Michael! |

This'll be the fourth. Did I mention I quit? We find out on January 8th whether it's a boy or a girl.
Douglas, they multiply less quickly than Martinis, and they cost less to feed, so all in all, they're not a bad hobby.

Richard,
I have some of your bullets, but I haven't tried them yet. Had a bunch of Coyote ammo made up already. Will give it a try and see if I can find something in the inventory that's similar. I have more moulds than guns somehow, so there should be something there. Cheers, Mcihael
