`Well, took my sniders out for some air today; 1871 3 band MkIII and 1878 2 band MkII (cut down wood). 25 rounds thumb loaded with 80 gr vol 2F Goex, felt wad, .570 round ball with patch. This was the first outing for the 2 band since I aquired all the parts to get it going again. Accuracy was better than with the 3 band in a much handier package. Point of aim was only about 8" south of impact as opposed to 16" with the 3 band. I was surprised to find holes in the same target as the one I had the 6 o'clock hold on. Someday, I will get more serious about my loading, you know; weigh my powder, throw some .590 balls, use dies. but hey, it's a kick just making them go BOOM! I'm happy to print on target at 50 yards, and I love hearing the sound rolling through the mountains like thunder. Smoke em if ya gottem. allen
