The current sight would have gotten me to about 7-800, but no further. So I ordered a Holbrook BL tang sight... This is it - now I have to replace the Dr. Goodwin with this one.. Anyone need a Dr. Goodwin?

I'm sure that they are quite fine, precision made pieces of equipment, but the Soule sight looks absolutely robust in comparison! Think I'll pass, compadre, besides, I think I've reached saturation on "stuff" and may have to part with some modern toys to continue my quest for Martini and other single shot type goodies. David

Veteran of the Regiment Posts: 3556 Oct 29 03 11:06 PM Undefeated ISSO Champ 2003-2006 Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Yes - but those impractical sights will work where a Soule won't, like: - on a straight-stocked ML (Whitworth, volunteer) from 50 to 1000 yds - On a Mk I - III martini action butt socket, still allowing you to shoot from 50 to 1,000 yds No need to elevate the front sight here! I had mine mounted on the wrist of the stock, so I didn't really need the low adjustment possibility - but it still is on my Volunteer. Plus there is that offset staff, making cleaning from the rear on a BL a breeze without taking down the sight. Not so impractical after all! And would you believe you have tons of windage adjustment?
