Douglas recognised it as a Husky shotgun action. Question; Were these actions made up solely for use as shotguns, OR, were these standard Swedish rolling block actions That happened to be made into shotguns??? What I'm trying to get at, is what cartridge would be safe in this action without causing pressure problems. FWIW, I don't want to be slinging great big lumps of lead out of it. The MH and Snider will do that if I want! Thank you for your help, Pukka.

Veteran of the Regiment Posts: 1962 Aug 29 06 7:30 AM Sergeant Major Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Hi Pukka I had an email back from Husqvarna denying that this was one of theirs so it might well be a carl gustav as I remember reading somwhere in the search that when husqvarna stoped makinf hunting rifles Carl Gustave took over the designe or something. It was Carl Gustave gunsmiths that had access to cheep parts. So it aint a husky its probably a Gusty!! I am in the midle of prpairing to go away for a couple of weeks so I might take a while but I did go looking for a Carl Gustav museum or some way to contact them I cant remember if I did find anything or if I was able to contact them! Pinky I will try later to post the reply. It is not a gun. It is not a Weapon. It is not a firearm. It is a single cylinder single stroke internal combustion engine with a free floating piston!

Don't know how to thank you. Yes, we sort of had it figured it must be a Carl Gustav, or at least one made from their parts. Maybe Douglas just meant Swedish, not really Husqvarna per se...........at least if it Is a Husqvarna........they're not admitting it!!! So, what could we rebarrel to WO blowing it to bits? (If I can't fix the present barrel, that is.)

If I use mine at home I kinda end up paying my own wage? Got to make the most of it I will be away for a couple of weeks Farm sitting only get dial up out there so for comfort am taking the snider just to have something to talk to! and think long and hard how to get the next two aquasitions past the other half? Sergeant Major Posts: 339 Aug 31 06 7:49 AM Colour Sergeant Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I wondered why I kept following this! It turns out that I have one of these, reputedly in 16 guage (which doesn't fit). The barrel is half octagon, half round and mounts front and rear fixed sights. It has Husqvarna on the side flat in front of the extractor and a crown over H on the top flat in front of the receiver ring. The trigger guard is identical to the golden gun. The fore end is pinned to the barrel like a Hawkin M/L and the Buttstock has a cheek piece that's not too different from the other. I just forgot that I had it! Wiley

I wonder if yours would take the brass cartridge cases? much thinner than plastic/paper cases. Does anyone have one of these in a rifle calibre???
