Hi Everyone, I am new to this forum so please bear with me. For my sins I administer the 'Perrins Owners Club' http://info71508.wix.com/perrinsgunmaker a group of owners of these guns sold in Worcester (UK) between 1830 and 1890. Quite recently I was offered a shot gun which didn't fit anything else we had seen. It was sold to me as a 12 bore Perrins-Snider - it turned out to be a 10 bore - so even more interesting. I am pretty sure it is not a conversion but a purpose built shotgun. As I hadn't seen one before I would be interested to hear from anyone else who has a good quality English made shotgun particularly in 10 bore. I suspect it may have been made to order for an Officer, possibly from the Worcestershire regiment, who had seen how much more effective the system was than the muzzle loading Enfield and thought it would be a great piece of kit to take with him for a bit of sport in India, or wherever he was posted - but that is only a guess. Here are a few photos.
