Thank you Grant, for putting the information into this flyer.......wonderful job, as usual!
We will also be adding Douglas' "Mad minute" Targets will be a 'twoonie' each. (Up until now they have been free, but that is because Grant largly picked up the tab for the last batch!) Do not forget bug spray, and wellies in case it turns wet! (It's much drier under foot at present.....) Also, bring food/drinks to keep yourself going 'till "tea time" Look forward to having the "Family" together again!! R. |

Sorry i'm late - busy weekend building a deck!
I'm definitely in - Richard, if it's ok with you i'll be up sometime between 10 and 11 on Friday morning - hopefully on the earlier side Grant are you still looking for someone to share? Fire me an email at my handle @gmail.com or cell 403-607-3855. |

Dave and Branko -
Because of the possibility that Gary Kangas would wish to "share", I left the motel reservation (both Friday and Saturday night) as a "double". However, as "first responder" Dave is now my official roommate in the "double". Mind you, if Gary also wants to share, I am hopeful that the "suite" (two bedrooms and three beds) will likely still be available at an even greater saving for each of us ..... so if Gary does want to share, Branko, have him contact me as soon as he gets back and I'll try to arrange for it ......

Paging Pukka Bundook Sahib ..... | ||

Richard -
Did you see my PM sent on Saturday? I need the dimensions (specifically the total horizontal span between the front upright posts) of your built-up 50-yard butt. As you recall, that butt will double as the "rifle pit parapet" on which the "heads in rifle slit(s)" volley fire target(s) will be posted. Having the dimension will assist me in finishing the targets .....

Hey Richard,
I can get there around noon on Friday and help out with any last minute stuff if needed. I will be staying with my girlfriends parents in sundre again so I am good for accomodations. Ive been busily loading away but non of the local stores in calgary carry Reloader 15 so my 303 might have to sit out. See you all soon, Brett |

Dave:
Your image isn't showing up for me, but ....... "Ye have but to ask and ye shall receive!" ......
If you did any British military service, or otherwise are familiar how their tent sections lace together, that will give you a good idea of the lacing method ..... (I have had occasion to assist in erecting such a tent a number of times ....) When I got my gaiters, i couldn't figure out how they laced either .... until I was looking at a plate in an Osprey Men-At-Arms volume from which this detail is cropped - and the distinctive lacing pattern was instantly recognizable - That image doesn't show the lower trio and upper pair of eyelets on one edge of the gaiter because that edge is covered by the overlap, so I worked out a method of doing it and posted a series of photos in an album on the British Victorian Military Society photo section. However, I think you have to join that forum to be able to access the photo albums, so here are the images - Installed lace - outside and inside view - Laced up gaiter - the loops are used to "stitch" gaiter closed, with top loop secured by buckled strap -

Grant: That's perfect, thanks, i'll have a fiddle with that tonight! I think i'll do them the first way to start, i'm somewhat reticent to put
holes in the new set right now
How long roughly were the laces you used? |

I never thought I'd say this about the denizens of this forum, but what a great looking group! Love the Victorian kit on everyone. Looks like a fine time.
I so wish I could have been there. Looks like it was a fine time!
Cheers, Michael
I've never heard anyone complain about "too much quality" in a gun, but too little will get you a trip to the ER with your spare fingers in a
baggie.
