I purchased this revolver the other week, I know it is not Brtish but I didn't know where else to post it.
The top of the frame, clearly marked.
The side of the barrel showing the Patent date July 1877.
The rifling in the barrel, it is in quite good condition but need some further cleaning.
The action locks up tight but the trigger pull is rather heavy, especially in double action. All parts have matching numbers the frame, barrel, cylinder and cylinder pin.
It has been dropped at sometime and one of the grips is cracked, but other than that it is in quite good condition.
I have been doing a little research on Forehand and Wadsworth and have found a lot of info, now to look for some more.
