Most are repairable to shooting condition, few are in such shape that I would consider them as regular shooters. Of my two, both have "generous" headspace and I must use solidhead cases (no el-cheapo CBC allowed). I've also seen at least two on-line where the back of the receivers were peened in an attempt to tighten headspace. From the looks of the metal, I'd say they were peened prior to being placed in stores. This leads me to believe that receiver stretch was an issue when they were in use a century ago and time probably hasn't improved this trait. Also, since parts aren't available, regular use means risking breaking a part that will need to be hand-made.

If you want a regular shooter I would not recommend going this route. If you want one that may be shot from time to time and are willing to foot the bill for solidhead cases, then these may be a viable option. However shooting Martinis is addictive and I would always recommend getting a solid Brit example for regular use prior to acquiring one of these, which I view as a shootable novelty and not a solid dependable rifle.
