Thought I'd better open the" Alberta Shoot, 2017" thread!
The shoot will be held on the 24th & 25th June. Setting; "Victorian". Any arms used in Queen Victoria's reign are acceptable, not just British arms.
As you all know, some come a day or two earlier, and some stay later and it is all good.
The theme, after discussing it with one or two regulars will be India Again! Reasons being we, (the family) missed half of last years events, and also, We Can ( Again !!) Blow Robs excellent Cashmere Gates off their hinges!
I trust this will be acceptable to everyone. Next year you will get a choice. :-)
All welcome, whether you own a Victorian firearm or not. and we will put up the invitation so it can be printed off for all border-crossers.
For those considering attending for first time;
Most arrive Fri eve or before, and we fix supper for everyone.
Sat. Shooting competitions and gongs throughout the day. Bring some goodies to keep you going, but ice water will be at the shoot sight, and family normally fix a lunch for everyone.
We provide supper Sat evening, and ask payment for that.
Sunday. Shoot whatever matches we didn't get at Saturday, and shoot long range as well. (700 yards )
All that can hang about go for supper together in town on Sun. evening.
Very brief, but for first-timers , gives a rough idea of what is involved.
More details later.
Also, can those who plan on attending put your names down please?
Look forward to seeing everyone again!...and please chime in with whatever I forgot!
PS, For new folks,;
This is a private unregulated range, so only antique arms, plus non-restricted are allowed. No 'modern' hand-guns/restricted.
