For some years now I have been shooting a BSA Australian Cadet Rifle. My usual load is 7.8 grains of 2400 under a cast CBE 120 grain lead bullet. However I
have a large quantity of Unique powder that I would like to use up. Has anyone got loads for this powder using the 120 grain bullet? Thanks.

Good evening;

Several years ago, this forum hosted what was perhaps the First International Internet Miniature Martini Rifle Shoot. It was a blast! Since that time, I
built up a sporter 310 cadet as a full stocked, scoped rifle. It is among my favorites.

One bullet that I really like is the DKT Flat Nosed Lead Bullet at 100 grains. I buy them at Huntingtons, at exhorbitant prices. They should be a fine game
bullet, and I intend to use them on our local overpopulation...

My pet load is the 120gn Heeled CBE bullet, teflon coated by REDBACK projectiles, sized to 317in. Powder is 3.5gn of ADI AP70n (analogue of unique) with a Win
small pistol primer. Gives MOA at 50m and rings the gong monotonously at 300m.

Searching my records yet again !!

My best load using Unique was : 4.20g under a 122g RCBS bullet coated in liquid alox. Primer was CCI400. Case length 27.50mm.
Rested 5 shot group size was 1.75" ( sorry for the mix of metric and real measurements !! ). Velocity was 965fps and velocity spread an unbelievable
10fps.

This was a favourite load !!

In 1997 my .22 target pistols were a Hammerli single shot and a Browning Target 150. The centre-fire target pistol was a SIG P210, with a .30 Luger barrel for
UIT, a 9mm barrel if there was a power threshold and a .22 barrel for disk competitions. I was getting used to a S&W N frame in .32 S&W (don't
ask) when they all went. For Police Pistol I was using a S&W 19 4" and a S&W 27 6". I was also shooting historic pistols for fun: a Colt

I have used 4.2 gr. of Unique and like it. The target is from my second outing with my Cadet. I don't see too well any more and don't do well with
iron sights, but at 50 yards, I think this is acceptible.

Thanks to both of you. The Unique is also from my pistol shooting days. I was always a revolver man. I had four or five revolvers at any one time but only one
pistol. I would go to our range alone early on Sunday morning when I had a dual cylinder .357/ 9mm Blackhawk, S&W M19 snubbie, S&W Highwaypatrolman M28
