			<description><![CDATA[ <p>What I found under the Christmas tree-definitely earning my wife a spot on the <em>Top Ten Gun Collector&#39;s Wives of 2009 List.</em></p>

<p>I was not quite sure in what forum this belonged, a percussion mini sporter.</p>

<p>This little rifle is by James Beattie, 205 Regent St. London. (At this address 1850&#39;s-60&#39;s)  maker of rifles, double guns, pistols. Gun Maker to
Prince Albert, his work represented at the Great Exhibition, 1851.</p>

			<description><![CDATA[ <font size="5">I have collected over the years A 1918 NOI MKIII, a 1922 NOI MKV (in excellent condition) and Two NO4 MKI Rifles.

Just for the heck of it, i bought a Go, No Go and a full length field gage. I can close the bolt with the no go and field gage. While the gages are for the
modern .303 British rifles and comply with SAAMI specs, the old SMLE and NO4&#39;s don&#39;t.

but nothing has come up so after looking at this double SxS 12g pinfire for some time have finally decided to go for it. I have spoken with the dealer and he

I have several SxS guns as you know.  The ones that seem the best quality all have barrels made of one piece from breech to muzzle and fitted together.  Looks
right to me.

The cheaper ones like my new Dominion Arms Outlaw(12ga SxS with 12&quot; barrels!) seem to have had the chamber sections built separate from the main barrel
and then these 2 parts fitted together to make a complete barrel and then the barrels are fitted together.  That is 4 tube sections to make... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Here are a few pics of my latest, a m70 Comblain falling block rifle made by Francotte for the Belgian &quot;Guarde Civique&quot;.  With the exception of the
barrel, trigger, springs, screws and hammer, it is all made of phosphor bronze.  Calibre is 11x5?R, waiting on some cerrosafe to see exactly what it be. 
Luckily no-one has gone near it with the Brasso so the lovely patina is intact.

			<description><![CDATA[ I have a 1917 BSA that has had the charger bridge removed, a new surplus South African barrel installed and express sights added. I have a couple of five-shot
magazines for it. It currently wears a Boyd&#39;s sporter butt, unfinished, and a cobbled up forend. I&#39;d love to find more traditional sporting wood for
it. Anyone have any thoughts on where to look?

			<description><![CDATA[ This is the only British sporter I&#39;ve ever owned based on a Winchester lever action. Thomas Bland pulled out all the stops on this .303 British. It is
engraved. It is restocked with a pistol grip (which is no mean feat on a Model 1895 with its 2 piece lever). It was fitted with a quarter rib with one standing
and 2 folding platinum lined wide V blades and a worm style front sight. Best of all, it is fitted with a British style take down system.

I have the big 10ga SxS for waterfowl and turkey type hunting, I did not need a 12 gauge that could handle 3&quot; steel loads anymore.  The barrel set getting
loose really was upsetting too.
